The Beauty of Falling Snow
I took this video clip of it snowing yesterday when the kids left to walk out to the bus stop. You can see F at first and then the other kids way off on the left before I panned over to the right.

A Million Raindrops
It rained and was foggy for much of the day today. It was good to get the soaking rain because it's been 3 weeks since we've had any, and things are getting pretty dry.
The only radio station we listen to at home or while driving is K Love. One of the songs played on it is Million Pieces (click for lyrics) by Newsboys. At our house it has become known as "the raindrop song". F can be heard singing it a number of times throughout the day. Then, the other day, I heard S singing. It took me a minute to realize that he was singing the raindrop song, too!
They only really know part of the refrain, but they sing those few words over and over and over. :) But it warms my heart to hear the kids sing songs like this because I know they're absorbing so much of what they see and hear, and these songs tell truths about God and are an expression of faith in him.
So, to go along with our rainy day today, here are some clips I took of F and S singing part of the raindrop song ...
These are they lyrics they're singing:
They all fall
Like a million raindrops
Falling from a blue sky
Kissing your cares goodbye
And here's the Newsboys' video of the song.

One of My New Favorite Songs
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
[x2]
[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
