This morning S and I went with F and her class on their field trip to the local grocery store. The kids got to walk into the dairy cooler and see how the milk, yogurt, etc. shelves get filled. (F is over on the right in the pink sweater and ponytails.) They also went into the walk-in cooler, freezer, and room where the meat is cut. However, I think the kids' favorite things were probably the garbage chute and the cardboard crusher! The lady giving us the tour even lifted the kids up one by one by the garbage chute so that they could see the trash inside. :)
