Hitting the Highlights

As mentioned in my previous post, the weather has been blissfully warm! We've hit 80+ degrees the past 3 days! It's been a bit breezy, too, but that's nice because, if it wasn't, it would almost be too warm. Right now it's perfect!

On Monday the grade school band director from a nearby high school came and did a little presentation to the 4th graders at our kids' school to show them the different kinds of instruments there are and have the kids try them out in an attempt to recruit them for band lessons for next year. E tried the clarinet and now really wants to play. Josh and I both think it's important for kids to learn how to play a musical instrument, so we'll see. There's a band information meeting next Tuesday at the high school for parents that I'll probably attend. If only she would have latched onto flute since I still have my old one!

On Wednesday F's preschool class went on a field trip to a nearby state park. The field trip was originally scheduled for last week Wednesday, but since it rained that day, the field trip was postponed til this week. They ended up with beautiful weather for it!

E's cracked tooth doesn't seem to be bothering her much, so maybe it was just sore because of the tender, newly exposed gums.

I did make a dr appt for next Tuesday for F because of the sores on the backs of her upper thighs. I'm pretty sure it's just eczema, but we've tried for the past few months to get rid of it with Neutrogena hand cream, Eucerine cream, and Neosporin. None work for very long, so we'll see what the dr says.

Tonight is the Ascension service at church.
