Mother's Day

Yesterday when we went grocery shopping, Josh told me he and the kids were going to buy me flowers for Mother's Day and that he was telling me so that I could pick what I wanted. I could choose cut flowers, a hanging basket, annuals in packs, whatever.

We have a lilac bush with white flowers that was here when we bought the house 4 yrs ago, but it doesn't give off much lilac scent, and I like purple lilacs better. I've been wanting a purple lilac bush for quite a while, so that's what I chose for my Mother's Day flowers. Here's the bush:

It's about a foot tall. I can't wait til it gets bigger and produces fragrant lavender lilacs!

  1. I love the gifts that keep on giving. I chose to start a strawberry patch as my mom's day gift. :) We put in a purple lilac about 4 years ago and it is finally producing blooms this year. Hopefully yours doesn't take that long to produce!
