This is one of the blooms on the hollyhock plant that G gave me 2 yrs ago as a Mother's Day present when he was in preschool. Each student grew the plant from a seed. The first year I planted it in the ground outside, and it barely grew, but last year and this year it's gotten over 6 ft tall with pretty blossoms.
F gave me one for Mother's Day this year. I planted it outside, and it's barely growing, too, but I have hope that it will do the same thing G's did.

That's so pretty! My neighbors HH did the same thing, I'm sure F's will come in next year just as well!
