Now That We're Home Again ...

I've been back to work, and Josh has been at home with the kids in the mornings. He feeds them lunch and then takes them with him to work. When I get home a little after 2:00, I call Josh, and he sends the kids home. It's a good thing we live close enough to his work that they (and he) can just walk back and forth and that it works out for the kids to go with him to work for a little bit every weekday in the summer!

The 4 older kids are participating in the reading program at our library. E and J almost have their whole sheet filled out already, but G and F aren't quite as far along, especially F since she isn't able to read on her own yet. She loves books though, and I know she'll love it when she learns how in kdg this coming year!

Some pretty weeds

Josh's brother, a pastor from TX, is attending a summer class this week at the seminary in the big city. His class doesn't start til after noon, so he called us up and asked if we were able to come and see him one morning. I had to work, but Josh and the kids went down yesterday morning and had lunch with him before coming back home.

When Josh and the kids cut out the bushes in front of our house, Josh left them on the trailer until he was able to take them to the transfer center. (He's doing that tomorrow morning.) In the meantime, a mourning dove built a next in the chopped down branches and laid 2 eggs. Josh noticed it and tried to move the nest and eggs to a more suitable place, but the bird never came back.
