As I said before, the 4 older kids started school on Tuesday.
That night Josh didn't come home til about 6:45 the next morning because he was at work trying to get obstinate, ornery computers to do his bidding, and they weren't cooperating. Then, on Wednesday night, he didn't get home til 2:30 am because he still has to finish up some things at work before his Thursday morning deadline. Thankfully he got done what absolutely needed to be done. Although he's still got many projects that need completing, he's finished with the ones that had to make the deadline.
Thursday I started working concessions again for athletic events at the local high school. We barely got any business that night, but when I worked on Saturday, we were really busy.
It was Josh's turn to mow the lawn at church this week.
S and I went grocery shopping Friday afternoon after I picked him up from the sitter's.
Somewhere in all this, I managed to hand-quilt a few more squares on the quilt I'm making.
Yesterday and today I cut up the green beans from our garden, and today I blanched them and packed them in freezer containers until I ran out of ice for the blanching process. There is still a little less than one ice cream bucket left to do. I also made 2 more double batches of zucchini soup to freeze.
Thankfully S's mouth and E's toe are healing well. No more massive injuries this week. Thank you, God!
Now that the school year has started, the big push to get things done before it is over, and I'm hoping everything will settle into a smooth routine and the frantic pace will slacken.
Hooray for a bloodless week! And wow have you been busy, girl! Hope things settle down for you soon...
