I quickly called Josh and asked him to come home sooner than normal. (He usually goes and works about 2 hours in the morning before coming home so I can leave for work and he can watch the kids til I come home.) I quickly finished getting ready, and Josh helped me make lunches for myself, J, and G (since the basketball camp is at the church where I work, and they'd be staying there with me).
The boys and I got to church just as the first session, which was J's, was starting. Phew! He wasn't late after all!
G's session started at noon, and the boys watched the other basketball camp sessions that they weren't in, played outside, and kept themselves busy making birthday gifts for S out of paper.
S chose pizza, cheetos, and bananas for supper. That seems to be a common birthday dinner theme at our house lately!
S wanted a Wall-E cake, so I tried to accommodate him. I think it turned out looking more like ET, but he liked it!
A very happy 3 year old
After supper S opened his presents.

The kids got him some Diego undies (another of his favorite characters), and Josh and I gave him a Diego book that has a Magna Doodle-type toy attached to it. We also gave him the Wall-E movie. Can you tell that the movie was his favorite? :)
Happy 3rd birthday, my sweet little boy! It's hard to believe you're that old already! Daddy is still your favorite person, and, although you usually prefer him, you've really become much more sociable, even with people outside of your family, and can be a little flirt, too! Lately you like to sleep on the floor in your sisters' bedroom at night (I'm not sure why!), but there are still many times Daddy and I wake in the morning to find you in our bed instead of your own. You're a great snuggler. I pray you keep your happy disposition throughout your life and always keep Jesus in your heart. I love you!

Happy birthday, S!! The cake looks pretty good! I can tell that it is Wall-E! You did a great job.
