We had a lunch of sandwiches and scrumptious jello-type salad that everyone loved (and I hope J posts on her recipe blog!) and some of M's mouthwatering BBQ ribs on the grill for supper. In between those times, the guys and some of the kids went to a frisbee golf park to play, and we ladies took the rest of the kids to a different park with the coolest playground ever!
The whole community-built playground was enclosed behind a fence through which there was only one entrance/exit. The structure was built to look like a castle but also included some things that represented landmarks of the town. Here are E and S in part of the play structure built to look like a rocket.

(Day 247 of 365)
The whole structure was the biggest wooden play area I've ever seen. It had steps and pathways and tunnels everywhere! Pretty awesome!
In the evening we adults got to talking and laughing and laughing and laughing. We didn't leave for home til almost 10:30. It was a late night, but so much fun!
Today we made it to early church. There wasn't any Bible class or Sunday School due to the holiday weekend.
Josh and I decided this afternoon that the kids' bedrooms and the family room needed to be cleaned and purged. He helped the boys in their room (and brought up a dresser from the basement for S's clothes), and I helped the girls.
After supper we started on the family room. The kids just have so many toys! Many of them they barely play with anymore, so we sorted and sorted and sorted. We're still not done. There are 3 piles in the family room now that need to be sorted through even more, but we're done for the night!
And just for kicks, here's a pic of G being goofy.
(Day 248 of 365)
I well can sympathise with the overabundance of toys! And G is such a cutie!
