The next morning the kids were up around 7:00, but Josh and I slept in. When Josh woke up, he asked me if E had band practice that morning. Yes, she did at 8:15. Well, it was already 8:30! Oops! There was a meeting for the band parents at the same time, so Josh threw on some clothes and took E to her practice and attended the parent meeting.
I had to be go over to the high school for concessions at 10:30 am. The football game started at 1:00. The weather was windy and cool, and we sold lots of hot chocolate, cappuccino, and coffee. Our football team lost 10-7 in quadruple overtime.
Josh had a dinner at work Saturday night. I had trouble finding a babysitter for the kids so that Josh and I could go. It was mostly my fault because I'd waited til Wednesday to try and find someone. However, the more we thought about it, we figured that, since E is in 5th grade and we've left the kids alone for about an hour at a time before, the dinner was really close to our house, and we'd only be gone for 2-2 1/2 hrs, the kids would be okay by themselves.
We fed the kids supper and had then take their Saturday night baths and showers and put Peter Pan for them to watch, gave them instructions on what to do and not to do, and then left. When I came home 2 hrs later (Josh had to stay longer.), the house was still standing, and the kids were fine.
J and his classmates had to sing in late church this morning, so we went to Sunday School and Bible class first today.
After a late lunch, we all went to town to get some shopping done. I had a whole long list of things the kids and Josh needed, mostly clothes and shoes. Since I usually go grocery shopping on Fridays only with S, it worked to go today when everyone could come along. We were gone all afternoon and were able to get most of the things on my list. We even picked up a Papa Murphy's pizza for supper. Yum!
I passed you guys!! I'd know that blue van anywhere! I was on my way back from town and had to stop at the Pig before heading home.
