Starting E's Quilt

So far I've made quilts for J, G, F, and now Josh and myself.

We're planning to finish our basement next summer and put bedrooms for E and J down there where E will have a full size bed. I'd told her that I'd make her a quilt for her new bed in her new bedroom. Since it takes me a while to finish a quilt, and I'm done with the one I was working on, I thought, "Why not start on E's quilt now?"

Yesterday I showed her a bunch of my quilt patterns and had her pick out one she liked. She told me she wanted her quilt to be blue, green, and purple. Today she and I went to JoAnn Fabrics to pick out the material for it.

E kept picking out different fabrics in the colors she liked, but I explained to her that we needed to find some material that had all 3 of those colors in it before we picked out the fabric with the individual colors so that they would all coordinate and look right together.

We only found 2 fabrics that had blue, green, and purple. Thankfully E really liked one of them! Thankfully there was just enough of it, too! We needed 2 1/4 yds of it, and there was 2 1/3 yds left on the bolt!
Then we found the coordinating fabrics.

Let me just say that some of the shades and styles of fabric E chose are not ones I'd have chosen for myself, but they do coordinate, and I think they'll really look good together. But, most importantly, E loves them! Here they are:

It's going to be one bright, cheery quilt!
