Bright, cheerful fabric at the store
(Day 33 of 365)
I learned to sew after taking one semester of a sewing class in high school. Since then I've made many things.
One of the best parts of sewing, I think, is going to the store and choosing fabric (or picking some out of your fabric stash). I love the colors and textures of all the various materials. There's just something about row upon row of bolts of fabric that inspires the imagination, so much potential. Sometimes drinking in all the colors and running your hand over the material, envisioning the fabric's myriad possibilities is even better than the satisfaction of a finished product.

I wish I knew how to sew! I would go with my mom to pick out fabric so my grandma would sew things for us! It was so fun to look through all the different options! :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest dd made me an apron from the daisy material back in May after my appendectomy.. I just love those fresh spring colors!
