It's a picture of a picture of some of my ancestors. I don't know the date the original was taken, but she was born in 1804 in Pommern (Pomerania) and died in 1888 in Wisconsin. He was born in 1802 in Pommern and died in 1890 in Wisconsin.
how cool to have these! I'm sure you've done this, but those should all be scanned so that you have them to pass on...
ReplyDeleteOh, wow -- what a TREASURE! Are these originals? If so, I'd just recommend you scan them. Also, check them once in awhile. Photos in frames inevitably fade from light exposure. Thanks for sharing -- it's so neat to know our heritage.
