Today I got to meet Laura (laurazim), a fellow internet messageboard member! I've been an active member of different online forums since 1999, but this is the first time I've ever gotten to meet any of my online friends IRL. I'm happy to say that Laura is indeed a real live person (and a very sweet one) and not an internet stalker! Not that I ever had any doubt.
We met at a McDonald's about an hour from each of us. It rained pretty hard the whole way there, but we both made it there safely. The downpour had stopped by the time we all left. Well, we were at McDonald's for a few hours! Laura and I talked and got to know each other better while the kids played on the huge playplace.
Another member of the same messageboard was supposed to meet us, too, but she had to cancel since her daughter was very sick. Next time, right, Holly?

Laura was able to bring all of her children, but I only had my youngest 2 along. Her children were very sweet and well-behaved, and the baby is so kissably adorable! All our kids played well together.
My kids are the 2 standing on the far right. The rest are Laura's. (As I think you know if you're a regular reader of my blog, I try not to post recognizable pictures of other people's children, but Laura gave me permission to show her loveable children to the world.)
