Preschool Graduation

Today was F's last day of preschool. Mrs. R always has a special little graduation ceremony for the preschoolers. I was able to clock out and watch it.

During the ceremony, the preschoolers walk across the stage one by one, and the principal hands them their diplomas. Here's F getting hers:

Then Mrs. R gives each of the children a blue ribbon award and explains a little why she chose that award for that specific student. The awards are blue paper ribbons unique to each child. There is a "Leader award", "Sunshine award", "Thinker award", etc. F received the "Academic Girl" award. I had to explain to her that it meant she liked school and was really good at the things she did in school. Once she understood what it meant, she was happy about it.

After the preschoolers sing a couple of songs, the ceremony is over, and there is cake, punch, and cookies.
