Earlier in the year Josh received some free tickets to Noah's Ark. We planned to take the kids there sometime during the summer. We didn't have a set date to go but planned to keep an eye on the weather forcasts and go on a day we didn't have anything scheduled and the weather would be nice. We never told the kids we had the tickets.
Yesterday was the day we chose to go!
We packed food to take along for lunch, and I secretly packed swimsuits and towels. The kids figured out we were going somewhere, but we didn't tell them where until we actually pulled into the waterpark's parking lot. They were concerned because they didn't think they had their swimsuits, but once they learned we brought their suits along, they were excited!
There were a few water rides that all of us could go on. Otherwise Josh and I took turns going on with the kids. E, J, and G could go on many of the rides without an adult riding with them, too.
Thankfully the weather was warmer than the previous 2 days, although it could have been a bit warmer yet as it was pretty cool when we got off a ride and were wet. But after drying off a bit, it was fine.
We saw the Sponge Bob Squarepants 4-D movie at the park, and F rode the kiddie roller coaster 5 times in a row while we waited for Josh and the 3 older kids to finish their ride on the bumper boats.
S has recently developed a fear of water and doesn't even like taking baths anymore because he thinks the water is too deep. He could only go on a few of the rides anyway, and he liked some of them. He was usually okay with it if Josh or I was with him.
I didn't get any pictures of us in the park. Even though I'd taken my camera along, I left it in the van because I didn't want it to get wet. However, I did snap a picture later of G wearing his Noah's Ark admission bracelet.

(Day 200 of 365)
The park closed at 7:00, and we had planned to eat a late supper at a restaurant after leaving the park. However, the first restaurant we went to wasn't what we thought it was, so we left after walking in, and the second one we chose had a line out the door. It was getting late, and we were hungry, so we tried a third one. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated at that one. The food was pretty good, but it was late when we left, and we didn't get home til after 11:30.
Long day, late night, but lots of fun!
