Jammin' Together

The local grocery stores have had fruit on sale for awesome prices. Peaches were $.99/lb this week, and blueberries were $.99/pint. Strawberries were $1.29/2 pint container and buy-one-get-one-free at the same time. I'm still waiting for good deals on raspberries, but in the meantime, Josh and I made some more jam last night.

We made 12 half pint jars and 4 pint jars of peach jam and 12 half pints and 6 pints of blueberry jam. Both kinds are d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s!!!!!!!

I had to take a pic of them this morning. The jars of jam look so pretty!

  1. Yay! I've only done blackberry. Good job and I'm sure you'll enjoy them all winter.

  2. I'm pretty clueless..it is a lot of work to make the jam? I would love to make something healthier for K to eat!

  3. K, it's really not too hard, just putzy. Freezer jam would be easier to make than canning it because you just put the jam in freezer containers, but you can just buy some jars, some sure-jell, and follow the canning directions in the sure-jell pkg.

  4. And, K, I don't know how healthy it is 'cause there's a LOT of sugar in it!
