Although I do much of the cooking and baking, I married a man who enjoys making things in the kitchen, too. He rarely follows a recipe exactly but usually tweaks it somehow. Sometimes this improves the dish, sometimes not. :)
He loves to hide veggies and other things in his creations which leads the kids to often ask, "What's the secret ingredient, Dad?" Once again, sometimes this improves the dish, sometimes not!
I think he looks at most cooking and baking as a scientific experiment, seeing what he can put together and observing the results. Whatever it is, I'm thankful for a husband who likes to cook and bake when he has the time.
Great pic. Trevor's idea of cooking is mac and cheese, or Mcdonalds. Though he can make a mean, homemade, grating the potatoes and all, potatoe pancakes. I'm reallly not sure what and how the kids ate all those times I was in the hospital over the years. I also sure I really don't want to know! ;)
