S's First Day of School

Today was S's first day of 3 year old preschool. Wow!

This morning when he got up and we told him that he got to go to school today, he started crying and was pretty upset. I talked with him about it and told him that I would take him to school, SP would pick him up, and then I would pick him up at SP's house a little while after lunch. He still wasn't too sure about it when we got in the car, but he didn't cry about it.

When we got to school, I walked him into his room, and he gave Mrs. R, his teacher, a hug and then went to play with the toys. No tears at all, no clinging either. So I gave him a hug and kiss and told him goodbye and left. And then the tears were mine.
