Work and School

Although we're still busy, the crazy pace of the last two weeks has settled down some. Yea!

This week at work I've been busy working on updating the congregation's info on our college students.

E had musical practice last night, tonight, and will again tomorrow night. Last night was a late night of homework for her (about 9:00 when she finished), but tonight she was done when she left for practice at 5:45. Band lessons haven't started for her yet, but I think they do next week.

The kids get a kick out of seeing me working while they're at school. I see E the most. Her classroom is right across the hall from the office where I work. There is a window right above my desk that looks out into the hall where her class' coat hooks and shelves are. She come to the window every day when they're excused to the hall to get their snacks and waves at me. :) The other kids I mostly only see in passing or from a distance, but it's nice to be able to do that, too.

Even though S had been going to the sitter's house in May when I started working, he didn't go there the whole summer. Last week he cried at home and on the way to her house. SP said that he was fine a few minutes after I left though. This week S is doing much better and is excited to go to SP's house again. I think it just took him a little while to readjust.

Tomorrow he'll have to adjust again though. It's S's first day of 3K. I've been talking about it with him since he doesn't always do well when Josh, one of his siblings, or I aren't with him. He knows he's going and that SP is picking him up when he's done with school and that he'll eat lunch at her house just like he has been and I'll pick him up a little while after lunch. I hope he does alright. I hope I do alright tomorrow! My baby is going off to school!

Josh's work has settled down a bit, too. He still has more than enough to keep busy, but the insane amount of work has lessened. Today he put up a new sound system for one of the outdoor fields.

G lost another tooth yesterday.
